All Hardwood Cutting Boards, chopping blocks, and butcher blocks are hand made. These are large heavy duty hardwood boards made from Local Appalachian Hardwoods, logged and milled in Coker Creek, Tennessee! Feel free to customize your Hardwood Board with juice grooves, handles, finger-flips, and rubber feet as you desire. Please keep in mind that all hardwood boards are handmade, there will be variations in grain patterns between each board. Every board is unique and one of a kind!
Every purchase comes with a sample of Coker Creek Butcher Block Butter, to help keep those natural rich colors of the hardwoods at their best! Care and cleaning instructions are provided with each purchase.
Construction is completed with FDA approved, water-proof glue. Each board has been seasoned with several applications of food-grade mineral oil, then sealed with a wax blend of food-grade mineral oil, beeswax, and vitamin E oil to protect your board, and prevent the woods from drying. Waxing periodically is recommended to keep the deep luster these beautiful woods naturally have.

This is by far the most rewarding part of the cutting board/ butcher block process. We use Howard's FoodGrade Mineral Oil to bring the natural colors and wood grains to life. After this step, the boards are dried over night, then we repeat this step again to insure the oil has soaked deep into the hardwood. Once completely dry, we wax the board with Coker Creek's Butcher Block Butter and buff it out to a lustrous glow!
